High Crimes on the CBS Evening News tonight!
Russ Mitchell, anchor of the Sunday edition of the CBS Evening News, interviewed Michael Kodas last week for a segment the news program is airing Sunday, April 27th - that’s tonight.
Russ and Michael discussed Michael’s book, High Crimes, as well as the ongoing Chinese climb of Mount Everest with the Olympic torch, and how that climb is bringing new dangers to Everest. Bad timing–it was not on due to golf

I was VERY upset when the golf tournament went into “sudden death” and Michael’s interview was pre-empted. HOWEVER, I was wise enough to go to CBS.com and watch it.
Michael, ya looked great (whoever said the camera adds 5 pounds lied!!) and the interview went very well. I don’t think many people (except those in the climbing world) realize what it takes to spend a few moments a the top of the world.
You, Carolyn and your book are going far, buddy. I’ll be right behind you with my pom-poms singing your praises.
