Tammy Barber, of Griswold, Connecticut, was a High School student and walked a mile to school and back every day during the time Michael Ross was committing the killings that he has confessed to in eastern Connecticut . "You always had that feeling in the pit of your stomach," she said. "I guess it's called fear." Barber said she later lived across the street from the Jewett City apartment that Ross had lived in during the time he committed several of the murders.
